This Edwardian era pendant c. 1910 holds six of the most beautiful crystal opal cabochons that I have seen in a long time, set in 18k golden yellow gold with pearl accents--all so expertly set in hand-millegrained bezels.? It is exactly what I talk about when I say that antique jewels are miniature works of art.? There is a mystical, cosmic quality to a fine opal, looking at one evokes a faraway planet or nebula.? Not stamped or signed but acid-tested for 18k.? Measures 2 1/8 x 1.00.? Opals measures 7 x 5mm.? One opal chipped at edge near bezel.? All pearls original.? Weighs 5.6 grams.? Comes?with an 18 gold-filled rolo link chain.
